Overview:

Lenex Steel approached Marketpath about creating a new, dynamic website that better defined their company brand and offerings. Lenex Steel needed a site that clearly highlighted the company's steel fabrication experience and breadth of service offerings, along with their company's culture. After meeting with the Lenex Team, Marketpath was able to identify core features that would vastly improve the company's online perception and create future opportunities to attract new business.

CHALLENGE:

Besides the development and design of a new modern looking site, Lenex Steel needed a partner that would optimize their presence among search engines. Lenex Steel was buried deep in most Google search results for the keywords of highest importance. The company needed a partner that would improve their online profile.

SOLUTION:
The focus of the new site was on steel fabrication services: structural steel, miscellaneous steel, heavy steel fabrication, complex steel, bridge fabrication, and other services. Marketpath proposed a design that would highlight these distinct services while adding projects that announced the company's extensive history. 

RESULTS:

Lenex steel has been extremely pleased with the new site, receiving positive feedback from customers and prospects alike. But the most noteworthy improvements have been the positive analytics results and the increase in Google & Bing keyword rankings since launch. 

  • In just two months, Lenex received 1,743 visits and over 7,000 page views, with over 73% of sessions coming from new visitors and over 54% of visits coming from search engines
  • Prior to launch, Lenex showed up on Page 1 results (top 10 results) for 16 keywords. Two months after launch of the new website, Lenex showed up on Page 1 results (top 10 results) for 76 keywords, a 375% increase.
  • Lenex did not show up in Top 3 results for any keywords prior to launch. Two months after launch, Lenex showed up in Top 3 results for 38 keywords
  • Lenex improved from 0 to 17 #1 Ranked keywords/Phrases
  • Many of the terms Lenex is ranking for on Page 1 are national terms such as "steel fabrication", as well as regional terms within the Midwest and local terms for Indianapolis and surrounding cities. 

Key additions included the following:

 Lenex Project Gallery — Lenex Steel's previous site lacked a full gallery of images that offered proof of the company's steel fabrication projects. Marketpath built a comprehensive project gallery featuring hundreds of images of Lenex Steel's steel fabrication projects. 

 Project Blog — Lenex Steel's old site wasn't optimized to capitalize on content marketing strategies. In the new site, Marketpath added a blog to enable employees to develop content to assist with search engine optimization and better position the company as experts in the field.
